Within the Majella National Park, at the entrance of the spectacular “Vallone di Santo Spirito” – about 500 metres above sea level – rests the Benedictine Abbey of “San Martino in Valle”.
Legend has it that was San Martin, with the force of his elbows, to open a passage to access the mountain and build the Abbey.
